Chair with upholstered seat Leggera 646 - Cassina
Leggera is a simple wooden chair, immediately identified as a design icon thanks to its polite, clear and strong form.
The Leggera chair marked the beginning in 1952 of the great collaboration between Gio Ponti and the Cassina company with its furniture craftsmen. Extremely restrained and simple, with its almost circular section uprights, the Leggera chair acquired year after year more and more the charm of the anonymous object that becomes an object of desire, having a first-rate commercial and distribution diffusion.
The Leggera chair has an upholstered seat, covered in leather or fabric, both with removable covers. The multiple combinations between the tones of the ash frame and the various shades of the seat upholstery make this model extremely up-to-date, made of contrasting colours and materials, suitable to be placed in domestic and contract contexts. A silhouette made of solid ash wood, in a range of variants designed to emphasise its elegance and to offer combinability with other models in the catalogue. Leggera is also available in a chair version with a rope seat, emphasising its timeless traditional appeal.
