Colombo 1 by Molteni&C is a design object that interprets the language of design through the delicacy of origami.

From a single, measured fold comes a shape that evokes the stylised figure of a dove, a universal symbol of peace and purity. Made of polished stainless steel, its surface reflects its surroundings, playing with light and the space in which it is placed. This accessory is part of the project born from the collaboration between Molteni&C, the heirs of Gio Ponti and his Archives, with the intention of bringing the designs and intuitions of the famous master back to life. The result is a collection of elements that, despite their simplicity, are able to dialogue with the identity of the contemporary home. Colombo 1 is more than a simple decoration: it is a tribute to the ability to tell stories with just a few strokes, transforming material into symbol. Ideal on a shelf, a console or a bookcase, this object evokes memories, emotions and poetic references, once again underlining the elegance of Gio Ponti's design thinking.
