The "Infinito Blu" Book

Gio Ponti: L'Infinito Blu made of drawings and colours that in 1960 and still today encapsulate the essence of the magical scenery of Sorrento where the sky and the sea, in perfect balance, create an unparalleled harmony. The book is like a casket that preserves that moment.

 

A custodian of the sensations and emotions that Gio Ponti jotted down on the canvas of his soul. Never-before-seen photographs portraying him as a sort of "Fellini-like" director, coordinating the production phases in the factory, quick sketches to capture a fleeting creativity, hand-drawn plates to capture the shapes, watercolours to trace the first colours, 33 majolica to make real what he had created. Forms in balance, solids, voids, dynamism and colour.
