DIAMANTINA Carpet
Diamantina is the handmade carpet made of Tibetan wool and natural silk, in which a sequence of triangles are transformed into diamonds, which in turn are transformed into rectangles. Slender shapes embellished with strong coloured accents, whose decoration recalls the ceramic tiles often used in architectural works. Born of Gio Ponti's design, this carpet brings a harmony and sense of measure into the home that stems from the balance between pattern, form and colour. The carpet has a quality of 120,000 knots/sqm.
Fleece composition: 30% Natural Silk and 70% Tibetan Highland Wool (filled and hand-carded).
The hand-knotted technique is of Nepalese origin. The carpets are washed, chiselled and rewoven by hand. The fringes are turned back and covered with fabric.
