Reed jug with 6 colours

Six-colour reed jug designed by Gio Ponti. Made of hand-blown and hand-crafted Murano glass. A veritable hymn to colour, the reed collection is the re-edition of objects designed by Gio Ponti for the XXVI Venice Biennale in 1952. The technique used is that of canes, which involves the juxtaposition of six thin strips of cold coloured glass - Talpa, Rosso, Zaffiro, Verde, Paglierino, Ametista - which are then juxtaposed, fused together and shaped by heat with masterly skill.
