    SORRENTO Carpet

A chessboard motif can be found in the heart of Sorrento, an open reference to Gio Ponti's design of fine ceramics made for the floors of the Hotel Parco Principi in Vietri, Italy. Masterpieces such as the Tibetan wool and natural silk varieties are more than just furnishing accessories that bring a feeling of harmony and a sense of proportion into our homes, struck by the perfect balance of design, form and colour.

The carpet has a quality of 120,000 knots/sqm. Fleece composition: 30% Natural Silk, 70% Tibetan Highland Wool (filled and hand-carded). The hand-knotted technique is of Nepalese origin. The carpets are washed, chiselled and rewoven by hand. The fringes are turned back and covered with fabric.
