Gio Ponti Life and artistic career of a 20th century protagonist

This study deals with the multiple aspects of Gio Ponti's activity with an innovative slant, in order to provide a new synthetic vision of the great 20th-century architect, artist, interior designer, editor and founder of magazines, designer, columnist, essayist and more.

The book traverses all of Ponti's activities with the intention of providing a "non-technical" reading in order to be as adherent as possible, even in its calibrated "light" tone, to the global profile provided by the author's vast oeuvre.

The study, therefore, does not limit itself to single and specific aspects of Ponti's activity but offers a reflection on the multidisciplinary work that the author pursued throughout his life, as Cesare de Seta has well highlighted in his preface.

It can be said, in fact, that the book supports the assumption, already authoritatively affirmed by Alessandro Mendini, that Ponti was unquestionably a great artist and the father of all architects of the mid-twentieth century.
