Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti (1891-1979) has created a diverse and multifaceted production. Party from ceramics and majolica works from the First International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Monza, then dedicated to furnishings and interior design, building and designing all kinds of structures, from small residential houses, public buildings such as schools and offices. One of his main interests was the idea to the home base. The colored areas, but elegant decommitted were designed to inspire optimism in the occupants. The founder and director of Domus he never stopped developing and reinventing their style.
