The great Milanese architect Gio Ponti, born in 1891, has not only left an indelible mark in the field of national and international design of a whole century, but has also played a very important role in the development and renewal in the field of ceramics and porcelain quality. In 1923, in fact, Gio Ponti began working with the Richard-Ginori, of which he was artistic director until 1930, which still has its headquarters in the municipality of Sesto Fiorentino, one of the major production centers of the industrial complex located not far from Florence. The Milanese architect imprint on this territory, which also embraces the town of Calenzano, was important and has remained alive over the years, so much so that in the Museum "Richard Ginori" of Shower are still kept 400 pieces created by Bridges. The production of Ponti is wide both in terms of time - was active from the early '900 until the' 70s - and in terms of variety of genres.
